These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Eco mobile app (the “App”), provided by Eco (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using Eco, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) and able to form a binding contract to use Eco.

Your account

You're responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. Provide accurate information and let us know promptly of any unauthorized use.

Your content

You retain all rights to the recordings, transcripts, and summaries you create with Eco (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display Your Content solely to operate and provide the App to you — including processing it through our service providers to generate transcripts and summaries. You are responsible for Your Content and for having the right to record it.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Eco to record anyone without the consent required by law in your jurisdiction.
• Upload unlawful, infringing, or harmful content.
• Reverse engineer, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or its systems.
• Use the App in violation of any applicable law or regulation.

Subscriptions and payment

Some features require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play and are subject to their terms. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting your Eco account does not cancel your subscription.

Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.

AI-generated output

Transcripts and summaries are generated automatically and may contain errors or omissions. They are provided for convenience and should not be relied upon as a complete or accurate record. You are responsible for reviewing output before relying on it.

Intellectual property

The App, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by Eco and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for its intended purpose. These Terms do not transfer any of our rights to you.

Termination

You may stop using Eco and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the App. You can delete your account and data as described on our account deletion page.

Disclaimers

The App is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that output will be accurate.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Eco will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Your consumer rights

Nothing in these Terms limits or affects the rights you have as a consumer under the mandatory laws of the country where you live. Those rights and remedies continue to apply regardless of anything in these Terms, and where these Terms conflict with them, those laws prevail.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
